\u00a0King Faisal University, upon an invitation of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, received the members of the Board of Directors of AL Ahsa Valley Investment Company ltd, on Thursday 01\/21\/2021AD\u00a0 (08- 06-1442 AH) in the university administration building, in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the University\u2019s Endowment Investment Funds Dr. Badr bin Juwaid Al-Subaie, and His Excellency the CEO of AL Ahsa Valley Investment Co. Mr. Yousef bin Sulaiman Al-Shawan. This visit was held with the aim of getting to know King Faisal University and its various facilities. The delegation of the company\u2019s board of directors\u2019 members, included their excellences\u2019 Mr. Abdul Salam bin Muhammad Al Jabr, Mr. Muadh bin Naim Al Naim, and Mr. Alaa bin Abdullah Al Hashem. The guest delegation did a tour that included getting acquainted with the model of the university city in the administration building. The delegation also visited the Department of Satellite Broadcasting, where the work team gave them a full explanation about the mechanism and nature of work in the Department of Satellite Broadcasting. Then, the guest delegation visited the Centre for Research Excellence in Palms and Dates, where they were received by H.E. the Director of the Center for Research Excellence in Palms and Dates, Dr. Nashi bin Khaled Al-Qahtani, and they toured in the Research Excellence Exhibition. He gave them a full explanation of the center\u2019s achievements and contributions, national and international cooperation, date and food products, knowledge, pharmaceutical and medical products, water rationalization, patents and the machines manufactured at the center. After that, the delegation moved to the Boys and Girls Schools Building in the University City, where H.E. Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Khalifa Al Hanout gave them an explanation of the project\u2019s future plans and work requirements to achieve the desired objectives. Thereafter, the delegation took a tour to discern and see the surrounding investment sites. After that, the delegation directed at the headquarters of the research and training station. They were received by the supervisor of the station, Dr. Samir Al-Hujaili, who accompanied them on a tour that included jojoba plantations, the dairy factory, horse stables, and the entertainment center. He also gave them an explanation of the station\u2019s work. Then the guest delegation visited the Veterinary Medical Hospital, where they were received by the director of the hospital, Dr. Walid Al-Rashed. They toured the hospital departments and were getting acquainted with the work mechanism as it is a significant place for scientific research in many fields related to animal health.
